Station No. 2 is a unique event venue located in historic downtown Wilmington, North Carolina, housed within a beautifully renovated 1915 fire station1.
It has been transformed into a modern and stylish event space while retaining its rustic character with exposed brick walls and tin ceilings, and it even includes the Firehouse Suite, a luxury suite located above the event space that can be used for wedding party preparations or overnight stays.
With both indoor and outdoor spaces, including a walled-in garden courtyard, Station 2 is perfect for weddings, rehearsal dinners, and other special occasions for up to 80 seated guests.
A History of Station No. 2 in Wilmington NC
Built in April 1915 by local architect James F. Gause, Station 2 originally housed six men, two horses, and a two-horse hose wagon.
The station utilized horse-drawn wagons until 1918 when the last fire horse was retired.
Engine Company 2 was relocated in 1956, and over the years, the building served as both a residential and commercial space.
In 2017, the building underwent renovations to become an event space and opened to the public.

Firehouse Suite
